Guy Gould moved to Las Vegas from the Bay Area in 1987. His interest in the Native Style (Pentatonic) flute started in March 1999 when he received his first flute from local flute maker Rick Freeman and continued from there. Playing at Borders Bookstores with other local flute players and later playing other local venues as well as Open Mics in Las Vegas and in Long Beach California.
Being non indigenous and self taught his nontraditional style of playing contains elements of Celtic, Renaissance and Baroque.
His performing background includes Borders Bookstore, House of Blues, Mt. Charleston Lodge, Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center, CasaBlanca Resort, fund raisers and other social events as well as a street performer on the Las Vegas Strip.
Guy also had the privilege of volunteering at The Caring Place and was a member of the (DCFC) Desert Cloud Flute Circle of Las Vegas.
As well as playing the Native style flute Guy also plays the Irish penny whistle.
Guy Gould currently resides in Las Vegas with his wife Sue and their African Grey parrot.
